IVIS Lumina3 XMRS (X-ray) pre-clinical in vivo imaging

The device is equipped with the following imaging capabilities:

 

- bioluminescence imaging (luciferin/luciferase labelling systems)

- fluorescence imaging (400-900 nm)

- radioisotope Cerenkov imaging

- integrated pet X-ray imaging

It includes image processing software and a computer, as well as an isoflurane anaesthesia machine. The associated preparation room is used for anaesthetising, handling and preparing animals for examination.

An intranet booking calendar is provided with the instrument, new users can use the instrument after logging in and training with the instrument supervisor, and a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is available.

The instrument was purchased with the support of the 2015 MTA INFRA grant. The annual maintenance and service costs are covered by the Institute and the user groups in proportion to the use.
